What this sensor does
PIR sensors detect body-heat movement across a coverage pattern. Dual-tech (PIR + microwave) models such as Bosch TriTech are used where air-conditioning, hanging displays, or glass shopfronts cause nuisance alarms on single-tech PIRs.
Swan CCTV specifies pet-immune models for flats with dogs or cats, and aims coverage across the room rather than straight at a swinging metal gate. Wireless Honeywell 5800PIR suits finished interiors; Bosch Blue Line is the wired staple on G-series panels; OPTEX FlipX / VX / BX cover indoor rooms and outdoor perimeters that a standard indoor PIR cannot.

Hong Kong / local context
Window-unit A/C and curtains are the usual false-alarm sources in Hong Kong flats. We aim the detector across the room and keep it off pedestal-fan paths.
