What this sensor does
These detectors add early fire warning to an intrusion system. They are not a substitute for a dedicated fire-alarm installation where codes require one, but they are widely used in flats, small shops, and back-of-house areas that want smoke/heat events on the same keypad and monitoring path.
Honeywell 5808W3 is the wireless 5800 smoke/heat we enrol on VISTA and ProSeries. Bosch FCP-500 class detectors are wired onto G-series or fire-capable zones on commercial floors.

Hong Kong / local context
Kitchen placement is avoided or heat-only is used — cooking steam on photoelectric smoke is a common false alarm in small HK kitchens.
We confirm with the client whether events go to a monitoring centre or local sounder/app only.
