Hikvision DS-2CD1245(D)-LA — Specs & Hong Kong Installation
Hikvision DS-2CD1245(D)-LA 4 MP dual-light full-color bullet for Hong Kong outdoor lanes that need colour or IR night coverage on a value budget.
Best for: Roads, warehouses, underground car parks & dark outdoor lanes
Product overview
The DS-2CD1245(D)-LA is Hikvision’s 4 MP (2560 × 1440) dual-light full-color bullet with a 1/2.7″ Progressive Scan CMOS sensor. Swan CCTV specifies it where everyday 4 MP detail and switchable IR + white-light fill matter — estate lanes, warehouse yards, underground car parks, and shop backs with little ambient lighting.
Official specs include digital WDR, SmartIR anti-overexposure, built-in microphone, Smart265/Smart264 encoding, and fixed lens options from 4 mm through 12 mm so we can match FOV to gate width or driveway depth. Both IR and white light reach about 30 m.
Compared with a premium ColorVu Ultra Series turret, this Value dual-light bullet keeps power draw low (PoE Class 3, max ~6.5 W) and focuses on reliable outdoor imaging rather than deep-learning perimeter analytics.

Hong Kong / local context
Common fit for Hong Kong private car-park ramps and village-house lanes on a value camera budget.
Useful where management wants optional colour after dark without specifying a premium ColorVu Ultra SKU.
IP67 housing suits humid outdoor Hong Kong weather; we still use sealed junction boxes on exposed walls.
